That's overblown. Yes, Saban does a fantastic job of prepping the team,

managing the roster, and setting the stage, but a bridge too far to suggest no other coach could do so. It's also an over-statement to say they change the scheme to fit the talent. Look at the RB, OL, WR, LB on this Alabama team v. the Ingram or Derrick Henry teams. It's almost like they are cloning the guys at those positions. With their recruiting bona fides they don't need to change the scheme. They go out can and get someone who slides right into the same role without need to change. The only real change over Saban's tenure has been more of a willingness to throw down field rather than shove a Mark Ingram or Derrick Henry down your throat. But they certainly could have done the same with Julio Jones back then.
