The scales are tipped towards offense but a lot of what you saw was
The two most talented teams in the country, with two of the very best QBs and two of the very best OCs, and multiple (possibly 3) first round picks at WR. The talent has condensed at the tippity top of the sport. It wouldn't be as lopsided towards offense if the talent were a bit more dispersed. Amazing talent executing well is nearly impossible to stop, even with very talented defenses.
I think vigorous enforcement of the ineligible man downfield rule could balance out RPOs some.
