Drafting any position is a crapshoot. Perhaps more at QB, but a lot of the
uncertainty at QB in NFL is due to too much of a willingness to take a risk on a guy with huge college stats rather than assessing his physical talents in workouts and assessing their value in comparison to other players at other positions. Essentially, the mere fact they play QB makes teams less skeptical of the hype factor.
There are tons of QBs that were drafted in the first round, who had no business going that high, but heard their name called simply because they played the most important position, and a team over-reached.
