Washington’s defense is contender level already and the O-Line is pretty
decent. Gibson, McLaurin and Logan Thomas have proven to be a good core of weapons. The coaching staff is good. I think they’re really just a QB and another offensive weapon away from 10+ wins and a chance to make a run.
I personally don’t think bringing in a rookie QB who isn’t close to a sure thing is the best way to spend a 1st rounder at this point. I say use the pick to get a WR to go opposite of McLaurin and then try to get a veteran QB. If Stafford is available for the right price, that’d be a dream scenario. I could also see them trying to re-unite Cam Newton and Rivera, but Cam doesn’t seem to be able to throw the ball anymore. Matt Ryan maybe if the Falcons move on from him?
