Team is averaging 8.3 turnovers per game this year
That is tied for second in the country (with Wisconsin), behind only Villanova at 7.8 per game.
That’s a very promising sign, especially given that we have had some sloppy turnovers based on lazy passes this season that can easily be cleaned up.
It was also so great to see us shoot 50% from 3 today, after all those games last year when we shot in the 20s. The incredible thing about that stat was that we achieved it while Sam was 1-4 and Kihei 1-3 from 3. Of course both of those guys were great in other ways tonight. Great to see more offensive team balance where other guys can step up and get hot when shots aren’t dropping for others. Reminds me of previous teams we’ve had that could rely on that balance consistently.
Casey was a huge part of that today, and could it be that we are seeing him finally turn the corner? So happy for him.
