Is it my imagination, or does Brogdon rarely get a headline?

I know that he is widely (and increasingly) respected in the league, and I’m sure my feelings here are tinged with years of “we never get our due in the press” resentment — so maybe this is just my selection bias run rampant — but it seems to me like once a week I see a Pacers game recap that calls out a performance by one of his teammates, and then check the box score to see that MB had more points, and often on fewer shots.

I’m seeing some of the same with Hunter on Hawks recaps, though there it’s arguably more defensible in that he’s a just-emerging force on a team with a guy who sucks up most of the oxygen (and most of the shots) from the arena. But even so, I’ve seen games where Hunter was leading scorer but the headline is how Young scored X.

But I’d have hoped that Brogs had stepped out of other guys’ shadows by now. If it was as simple as just saying “ESPN always spotlights the stars”, I could get it. But now he’s arguably the best player on a team without a superstar, so it’s harder to explain away.
