See below for the stats for JVDS, IM, and CR It is even more impressive
when you consider they are all freshman and playing primarily at 2,3, and 4. Typically our first years have started out playing 5 and 6. BTW JS and IM have gone 12-2 in doubles, which has helped us win most of the doubles points.
JS is 14-2, IM is 11-3, and CR is 13-4, which is a combined 38-9. BTW Carl is 10-2 and RG is 12-4 , so our current top 5 is a combined 60-15 for a combined 80% winning record That is going to result in a whole lot of wins. I think it is more than fair to say that we have a dominating top 4/5 and that they are as good or better than any team in the country. I am not going to go look up the record of our previous top 4's, but this year's top 4 may well be our best ever or at least just as good as some of those Natty winning teams and 3 of them have 3 more years of eligibility. The future of men's tennis is looking really good and the future of women's tennis is also looking good. Losing Boland could have been a disaster and for a couple of years it was not good, but Andres Pedroso and Scott Brown have done an outstanding coaching and recruiting job and we are most definitely back!.
