He and Doug Stewart led the way in the Boland era of great tennis

They played 1 and 2 and led us to our first of many ACC tournament wins in 2004 in Raleigh and I was lucky enough to watch it and almost all others since then. That 2004 team is what got me really interested in UVA tennis. To this day I still treasure my many trips to the NCAA tennis finals in Tulsa, TAMU/College Station, Palo Alto/Stanford(lost in finals, II/ Champagne(1st Natty in 2013, Baylor/Waco (2nd Natty), WF, and several times in Athens(1 Natty and some very deep runs), I have been fortunate to see us win 3 of our 4 Natties, Other than people directly involved with the team, I expect that I am the only UVA Tennis nut/fanatic who has seen multiple Natties in tennis plus a few more in Soccer and LAX.
