One last thing on Ryan and the Falcons
They just restructured so if they part ways after 2021-2022, that is a 40 million dollar cap hit. So if you draft a QB, you will be looking at him sitting in 2021-2022 for sure. And you would have a 40 million dead cap hit the following year if you trade or cut Ryan. So at a minimum, you draft Lance or Fields, and he sits for 2 his 5 rookie deal years.
Even at year 3, Ryan is over 15 million in dead money.
Blank pushed his chips in the middle and is going all in with Ryan for 3 years. Then I bet he is done. I figure they go for Pitts or Sewell this year. Then gamble on mid/late round QBs this year/next year hoping to find a diamond in the rough. If that doesn't pan out, they go for a big time QB 3 drafts from now.
