Reading the lawsuit it sounds pretty terrible
I don't see any University response other than Ryan's statement in the University annual free speech report that 'University Counsel's Office believes the claims in this complaint are without merit.' That is pretty weak sauce.
If the facts in the lawsuit are correct and complete, the University should be seeking internal action against at least one professor for malicious abuse of the disciplinary process as well as reprimands for anyone involved who actually voted on this case if they had not first listened to the available audio of the transgression. This whole thing reads like a due process nightmare.
