Any gamers out there???

In a word, I'm not a gamer, and I need help. 27 years ago, we took a shot a Myst and solved it. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. 18 or so years ago, I acquired the sequels. At that time, I was using Windows XP on a 32 bit system. Shortly after that, I switched to Linux. Recently, I bought a new laptop and installed a dual boot this time. Windows 10 and Linux Mint. Having a Windows option again, I thought I'd dig around and find the old DVDs. Evidently, these things were designed for Windows 95 and I cannot get Riven to install or run on my new laptop. Does anyone know any hacks to work around this problem? Thanks for any help.
