Crease area is the same. may look larger bc goals smaller.

goals are either:
4 x 4' 9"
4 x 4' 6"
4 x 4'
pads take away a lot of shooting space but as you can imagine make it more difficult as a goalie to quickly cover any openings.
lots of subs each way, 2 openings out of your bench to facilitate. 30 sec shot clock.
the best guys have great sticks, utilize picks (which can not only be moving but you can hit but not blow up your opponent) and look to get shots in the middle of the floor and in close. once you lose angle, there's virtually nothing to shoot at. bunch of other differences.

it develops great sticks, physicality and precise shooters. for someone like cormier, the 6 x 6 goal looks like an ocean. and the game is reflected in his handle of all types of pass catches, physical play and ability to quickly move a goalie inside when need be.
