A different twist on your question, but for those of us past career path

concerns, to a person, in my office, there is no doubt that all will opt for WFH. I used to really think that a) WFH people weren't really working and b) I really needed to be in the office for face time and productivity, along with the amenities provided by the facility (printers, cafeteria, gym, etc.).

I think we have gotten past the productivity issue - maybe working from home does allow you do other things like laundry but alot of time can be wasted in an office environment as well. I do miss the amenities of an office, used to think it forced discipline, but don't think that anymore. Missing the HATED commute (NoVa yo) trumps the things lost from an office. Not to mention, most of my interactions anyway were with people from various locations around the US and internationally. SO, I will ride the work life into my retirement sunset from my home office.
