I had worse work-life balance doing it last March and April. I thought at

first that I would have more time because I wasn't commuting. But client demands mushroomed to fill that space.

Much happier to be in the office. We kept a skeleton crew here in March and April of 2020 and came back in May 2020, and let our employees WFH 2 days a week, then 1, then full-time back in the office once vaccines were available. It's much better now. People would think nothing of making their own schedules in the middle of the day and it was a pain in the ass when you needed to get hold of someone. And I'm not an ogre, but if I have an associate and paralegal working on something, we're a team, and I need to be able to mobilize the team if they're the ones who need to do something -- and our clients all want everything yesterday.
