We asked this same exact question and did a very deep dive over the past

few months. Happy to share notes if interested and can take it offline. HburgCav helped us to get started and I know he has already posted in this thread. We did quite a bit of additional research and talking to other families -- not as a family who was certain we were moving to Cville, but one considering the move and looking at several schools to compare to Covenant (well beyond just Cville).

The quick summary is we liked plenty of things we saw and had we decided to move to Cville, it likely would have been our choice (in the end, we decided not to make the move). But like all schools - there were some things we did not love. They are also undergoing some recent change in leadership. We were really impressed at the recent upper school leadership in particular, but that is one of the areas where I think they are undergoing some changes. Hopefully things will keep moving on the same strong path, but that is one thing to keep an eye on. But overall, we liked the direction the school seemed to be trying to move and what it had to offer -- not only in a vacuum but also in relation to other schools both public an private in the area.
