If it’s medical debt, it can (should?) be dropped from your report

When payed off. I had a bunch of medical debt go to collections. I wrote a nice letter requesting the paid items be dropped from my report. They were taken off on my next report. The collections agency will say they can’t do that, but they can and usually will if you are nice. I want to say that they have to take it off now, I remember something from a few years ago saying that is the case. You can Google that. But writing a letter asking it to be taken off is a good place to start.
