It is always easier to think of exceptions


I'm not gonna do the work and look at the recruiting rankings of the top 20 kickers each year and how they ended up over their college careers. But I will venture to guess that a higher percentage of the top 20 fared well vs, say the next 20 or the next 20 after that.

If giving a scholarship means a 70% chance of success vs a 40% chance of success at the position, I'd take it.
