Miami isn’t a clear example tho.


At least not about scholarships. They sucked in 2019 bc a kicker who did get a scholarship imploded. The third kicker they used that year, who was a PWO, was actually fine. 2020 they got a grad transfer but probably could have landed him as a HS player if they’d offered him a PWO spot.

We are probably heavy on scholarships for Ks as of late w Delaney, Pearson and now Bettridge. Duenkel was a PWO and a top 5 prospect by one service. I don’t care as long as we keep getting good talent. But probably a reflection of our recruiting to some extent.

As for which do better, I’d assume the scholarship players do, but it’s such a small sample of guys who get scholarships.
