I have seen article saying resting steak for 5-7 minutes and even up to 10


depending on weight and thickness....

You could rest it for 5 minutes for every inch of thickness.
You could rest it for 10 minutes for every pound.


So if you have a 2inch thick steak they say to rest it for 10minutes! If you make a 2pound roast, you should rest it for 20 minutes!!

I have even seen this suggestion that would blow my mind if I tried to do that
You could rest the meat for half as long as it took to cook. If the meat is thicker, you may rest it for the whole time it took to cook.
