It's 17th Century country/peasant French that hasn't evolved. Plus, the

"real" French don't like it because the Quebecois are totally ok with borrowing from English and bastardizing their language. Example: in Quebec, a computer is "le computer." If you say that in Paris, the Academie Francaise might show up and send you to the gulag. It is ALWAYS "l'ordinateur." Even though they were invented in America and most languages just take our word.

Their swear words are absolutely hilarious, though. If you take a noun that is associated with the Catholic Church, and make it into a verb, you have it down. "Tabernaque-toi" (usually written "Tabernak-toi" by the younger set) is literally telling someone to tabernacle himself. You can guess what it means.

Those are just some of the reasons why the French hate Quebecois French speakers, but it's mostly the accent, the antiquated form of the language, and the frequent borrowing from American English.
