Lucky, for sure... but UCLA was still serving for the match and was up a


break at 5-3. VERY fortunate call for UVa, to be sure... but the match was still very much UCLA's for the taking. At the moment the violation was called, it seemed to most observers as though it was simply delaying the inevitable... a win by UCLA. So, initially, the UCLA fans were miffed...but they were not going crazy. It was only after the subsequent impressive focus/gutting it out by Mitchell of the next 3-1/2 games and the just-as-important mental collapse by Puget that the UCLA fans then started to claim foul.
