24/7 HD ACC RSN TV affiliate streams & HLS/M3U8 stream URLs (link)

Our men's soccer home game vs. North Carolina is being carried on local ACC RSN TV affiliates.

See "RSN Men's Soccer Affiliates: North Carolina at Virginia" at:

It's also available as a WatchESPN live ACCNX stream at:

but probably subject to blackout wherever available on a local ACC RSN TV affiliate, like our football and basketball games.

But there are ways around that.

See "How to Get Around WatchESPN Regional Blackouts" at:

Given all that, however, the following may be far simpler.

NESN+ is carrying our game.

For future reference, every ACC RSN TV game is carried on either NESN or NESN+ and often on YES Network, too, however, this game is only available on YES Network on a delayed basis, Sun 9/26 at 7pm.

The NESN+ schedule confirms them carrying our game (sometimes lies):

The clickable link below is the underlying HLS (m3u8) stream URL for the NESN+ online stream, i.e.,

It should be viewable by anyone, anywhere in the world.

It's a DYNAMIC quality/resolution stream that will adjust to your internet bandwidth, from a max of 1920x1080p at 29.97 FPS and ~ 7400 kbps to a min of 640x360p at 29.97 FPS and ~1200 kbps, so you'll need at least 1200 kbps Internet bandwidth for it to play smoothly.

Note that you may need to copy and paste the underlying HLS (m3u8) stream URL for the NESN+'s online stream given above into your browser's address bar, i.e., instead of simply clicking on it.

If it plays for you, you're using a browser that's capable of native HLS playback (more modern operating systems have it built-in, e.g., MacOS, iOS, and Win10).

If not, see "How to View and/or Record HLS URLs" at:

Heck, check it out anyway if you want ways to play (and even record) HLS (m3u8) and MPEG-Dash (mpd) streams in ways other than just in a browser, e.g., via Roku player.

HLS (m3u8) dominates now, but MPEG-Dash (mpd) is coming.

Hint: The simplest solution is to install the "Native MPEG-Dash + HLS Playback" add-on/extension that's available for both Chrome and Firefox. For details, see see

Or in 3 easy, no muss, no fuss steps:

1. Copy the underlying NESN+ HLS stream URL given above (and linked below)

2. Paste the URL it into the “Input stream URL” entry box of the web-based Akamai HLS (hls.js) / MPEG-Dash (dash.js) Player at:

3. With “hls.js” selected, click "Play stream"

4. Profit

Here it is as a link with all the above already done for you, and all you need to do is click "Play stream":

OR you can see the section on "ACC RSN Affiliates" in "Hoo TV Value-added Subscriber Recommended Streams" at:

There you will find the 24/7 high quality web page player based NESN+ and YES Network stream links viewable by anyone anywhere in the world.

For these, however, pay particular attention to when (give the page plenty of time to load completely and settle down) and where you're ONLY supposed to click. As an example, see the pictures for ACCN included below. Otherwise, you may trigger all kinds of stuff. No matter what, however, you do NOT have to register, let alone pay anything. If it tries to get you to, just ignore it, and start over if necessary.

Both the NESN+ and YES Network streams are currently working.

The document also provides (5) FIXED quality NESN & NESN+ HLS stream URLs (1080p through 360p), e.g., as opposed to the DYNAMIC quality NESN+ HLS stream URL given above.

The document also provides (8) FIXED quality YES Network HLS stream URLs (720p @6000 kbps through 180p @ 170 kbps). Unfortunately, unlike the DYNAMIC quality NESN+ HLS stream URL given above, no dynamic quality YES Network stream URL is available.

Here's the highest quality YES Network HLS stream URL:

And here it is as a an Akamai HLS player link filled in for you and all you need to do is click "Play stream":

It should be viewable by anyone, anywhere in the world.

If your TV service includes NESN, even if it's just the NESN National channel, you can also view the NESN (non-National) and NESN+ streams at NESNgo:

Similarly, if your TV service includes YES Network, you can also just view the YES Network stream at the YES Network website:
