Good point. But 18-20 slow starts were about offense IMHO.

And that's not uncommon in football. Sometimes it takes a few games for QBs/WRs/TEs to adjust to in-game timing and coordination.

But this year is not about offense. This is about defense. And it seems to be regressing each game. Wake didn't score as much as UNC, but they controlled the line of scrimmage as effectively as the Heels.

I agree that college football is more week to week than most sports, but I also think it's fair to say that teams with good OLs or 2 super fast WRs are going to have a fairly easy time scoring. Ironically, I look at the remaining games and see the VT game as a better chance than most for a victory. I think Pitt, BYU, and ND will look a lot like the UNC/Wake games: their Olines will dominate the LOS.
