That's a good explanation, however the Hoos could benefit..................

from running the draw from time to time. In the complete absence of a running game, Virginia has become, by necessity a passing offense. It may not be the classic drop back in terminology but it has become that ,to some extent in reality. There aren't that many rollouts called and not as many pass/run options as in the past either. A play action passing attack has to have a minimally credible threat of running and this offense doesn't have that. Not having to be run conscious, the opposing defense can put the heat on Armstrong, which the last two teams, especially WF, have done a good job on. By the same token, this focus on rushing the passer also makes the defense vulnerable to the occasional draw play and screen pass.
