Luck is the residue of design. Some say we're lucky to win vs Miami/UL, but

1) The defense, perhaps unexpectedly, came up with crucial stops when they needed to, forcing punts and field goals late in the game.
2) Armstrong & Co led us to 3 straight TD scoring drives in the 4th quarter on the road when our backs were completely up against the wall. This was not just luck.
Other random thoughts:
1) If the Wicks hit was not targeting, I do not know what is. Bronco (as others have mentioned on the free board) should call it out and take the fine.
2) I am shocked that Malik didn't run more against us. He had several wide open opportunities and for whatever reason didn't take them. Either poor coaching or poor decision making but really worked in our favor.
3) Perhaps our coaches are similarly discouraging Armstrong from running to protect him from injury as well. Fortunately Armstrong is a better passer than Cunningham, but he HAS to stop taking sacks.
4) A win is a win is a win. Two winnable home games coming up, but hey, we have seen this movie before.
Go Hoos!
