About 1/5th of service academies recruits don’t get a nomination.

…in the non revenue sports across the board. Committed means a lot less for the service academies, although it does help to have a coach advocate.

I’ve stopped believing academic chops mean a thing in the Ivy League for lacrosse anymore. One Ivy insider told me “it’s all gone ice hockey at Yale and Harvard insofar as lacrosse.” That is code for academic deficiencies don’t matter at all anymore. They find a way considering these are 2 sports that alums get excited about where they feel they can still compete at high NCAA levels.
