Response deadlines suck. Bad form by the company

Internship hard to get--- I coulda guessed it was finance-- deadlines are more common in that industry, I think.
It is awful form to take that one then take something better. Don't do it. Isn't even OK to continue the process just to see. Recruiters and such do run into each a recruiter, if I got wind of this, that is a name that wouldn't work for us ever. The world is too small to make enemies this young.
My take-- internships are hard to come by. If it was a top choice, take it. Exit the process with the others. If the response deadline approach turns you her off, that may be telling you something about that company's culture that she won't like. I understand why response deadlines are needed-- and smaller companies in particular kind of need to do them. Another lesson here is to understand company timelines and do your best to synch up their potential offer timing (not easy to do)
