2022 Baseball Class Signed

Baseball signed a 13 player class yesterday. Prior to the Teel reclass, it was ranked 19th overall by Perfect Game. Teel's inclusion will give them a nice bump, I imagine.

Through social media, I've confirmed all these guys signed yesterday. It's the entire commitment list from Perfect Game. I'm not aware of us signing anyone not on this list but can't rule it out 100% but it doesn't seem likely.

Bradley Hodges - LHP - 6'1 190 - Fleming Island, FL - 87 overall
Jack O'Connor - RHP - 6'5 220 - Arlington, VA - 98 overall
Cullen McKay - RHP - 6'1 191 - Norfolk, VA - 112 overall
Aidan Teel - RHP/IF/OF - 5'11 185 - Mahwah, NJ - 120 overall (2023 class ranking)
Kevin Jaxel - RHP - 6'4 215 - Congers, NY - 173 overall
Donovan Zsak - LHP - 6'3 180 - Scotch Plains, NJ - 203 overall
Evan Dobias - RHP - 6'1 180 - Sunrise, FL - 208 overall
Evan Blanco - LHP - 6'0 190 - Woburn, MA - 239 overall
Juan De La Cruz - SS - 5'10 180 - Jersey City, NJ - 254 overall
Luke Hanson - SS/RHP - 6'2 185 - Williamsburg, VA - 326 overall
Harrison Didawick - OF - 6'5 218 - Chesapeake, VA - 330 overall
Henry Godbout - SS/3B/RHP - 6'2 185 - Brooklyn, NY - 476 overall
Johnny Ormsby - LHP - 6'0 185 - Haddonfield, NJ - 500 overall

None of these guys are sure things to head to MLB like we've had at the top of our last couple classes, in my opinion. But Hodges and O'Connor are the obvious ones to watch. They both have USA Baseball experience already. And O'Connor has the prototypical size MLB likes.

McKay is an interesting one. He was the last commit in the class (July 2021 commit) and was unranked at the time by Perfect Game. Very recently they've bumped him into their top 115.

It's obviously deep in pitching with a nice mix of RHP and LHP options. I think all of the pitchers had already committed to Kuhn before he left before McKay. So it's the 2023 class where you begin to see Dickinson's work in landing guys on the trail, but even in that class I believe there are still a couple Kuhn pitchers.
