Oak's strategy seems to have evolved to 1 big hit class then 1 big P class

It's essentially built on the idea that you're going to make a run at Omaha every 2-3 years with a team that should be top 5 in the country when your hitters are juniors and pitchers are sophomores. That's what our 2014 was built on and it was easily the most talented club we've ever assembled. Then we turned around and won it in 2015 with junior pitchers (Sborz, Waddell, Kirby) and some holdover hitters (Towns, Pinero, Thaiss, McCarthy, Coman), plus the big freshmen offense class (Haseley, Smith, Clement). The 2009-2011 teams were similar too, with the Parker, Gosselin, Grovatt class being freshmen in 2008 followed up with Hultzen and Roberts in 2009 (plus Hicks and Proscia). If we can get these pitchers on Grounds and develop them, 2023-2025 sets up to be a very good stretch.
