I think they will re-sign him to a deal which involves healthy pitching +


some portion after healthy pitching which is a personal service contract for the remaining portion or two years, whichever is longer. The healthy pitching part will include incentives for number of starts and/or number of innings pitched so value is there or Kershaw's pay is reduced to the personal service level of pay. Everyone in the Dodger organization wants him to retire as a life long Dodger, IMO, and not in some other team's uniform. I think his feeling toward the Dodgers will outweigh any desire to return to Texas for the same reason - professionalism.
