On coming back for senior years...

I know absolutely nothing about Woods (and frankly, anyone in this spot), and this applies to basketball as well, but the "development as a senior" thing is hugely overrated. If he's good, he'll get looks.

If he likes being in school, has an degree he's working toward, and wants to come back, I think he should consider it. Does any NFL GM care whether a guy is 23 or 24 at tight end? All the hand wringing seems to be about whether someone's costing himself a year-35 season and like 1% of players tops get there. Half the NFL tight ends are basketball players anyway and he's just as likely to get injured in camp next year and get cut.

If he decides it's his time, he can come back to school later, but there's no way he's guaranteed an NFL roster spot next year, and America is littered with these guys.
