Situational coaching is not our strength

When time, down, and distance all become impact variables on the outcome of the game, we basically implode.

It only takes screwing one of those things up to give a game away. Good coaches win close games because they maximize their chances of winning. They don’t win every single close game, but they win more than others because they maximize the impact of those three variables.

If a player makes a mistake or drops a pass I can live with it, while it is frustrating. Coaches fumbling simple football strategy as it relates to time, down and distance just isn’t forgivable. These are highly controllable things that we are not in control of. Endlessly frustrating.
