Compensation isn’t based on the person, it is based on the role. You can’t

Pay one price for one person and a different price for another person for the same job. The market is the market, and coaching salaries are experiencing hyper-inflation. Why would a coach come here and agree to be paid less than Bronco was making? Would you take a job for less money than you knew the person previously in that job was making?

If anything, the new coach will be paid more, as coaching salaries have gone up over the past 5 years.
