Women's Vball final 4 tomorrow- ESPN, have noticed a LOT more coverage

this year....SEC and even ACC showing more. ACC also having its strongest vball year ever (Pitt and UL in final 4). I think the olympic gold, ESPN3 coverage, B1G network extensive coverage---all these things have added some energy behind the sport. And, similar to tennis, I know many people that prefer watching the women's game (longer rallies, etc)... so, it appears VBall is on the rise.

I hope that our new coach can get us on that wave. Would love to see the next Softball stadium kind of effort on a better facility for volleyball. I watch Nebraska volleyball frequently and am blown away by their crowd-- holds 8,000 and is always sold out. At Nebraska, it is actually a revenue sport. Not saying we could get to that level, but it is a fan and family friendly sport (as opposed to say, swimming or squash or Leitao bball) that I think the kids and Charlottesville could really get behind.
