Factual ... in basketball the same guys play both ends

The first 8-10 seconds of every offensive possession - watch the Hoos ... they are exhausted and in recovery mode from the long def. possession. They hardly ever make the first pass in the front court before there are 21 seconds left on the shot clock.
So effectively the defensive possession bleeds into the first 9-10 seconds of 90% of offensive possessions.
A better determination is how soon after a team's first pass or first aggressive offensive move in the front court is the shot taken?
Coaches have been quoted multiple times that there is freedom on offense to shoot whenever or to push the ball but they simply are too tired to do so.
Reece is an exception because of his extraordinary fitness and speed ... but that's also why most of our transition points the last 2 years are simply one man Reece Pick 6 plays.
