I’ll rephrase. I spoke with multiple staff members later in the calendar

year. The staff expected to be up. The staff expected the press. The staff expected both of those to be true to the point that 1) a conscious decision was made to attack the press to score and 2) the staff had the team practice and prepped for those events.

Not to be rude, you can see it however you want, but I’m relaying what staff members conveyed to me.

“They sped us up” implies that they imposed their will on us. That’s not at all what happened. We made decisions, in part fueled by our success against Iowa State’s press, to attack a press we knew was coming and had prepared for.
