It is possible that the big $$ TV deals for $EC/Big 10 will not produce.
After a few years of declining ad revenue, the situation might look like this:
ESPN says, "Man, we are barely breaking even on these premium deals. No way we can increase payouts any further. The ACC deal now looks like a reasonable deal rather than an underpayment."
Likewise, the billion dollars a year for Amazon Prime to broadcast a Thursday night NFL game every week might look like a bad deal. Ditto for some recent NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA deals.
That would lead to interesting negotiations for future TV deals.
