New Tags
Why are they necessary? The site already tells me if I've read a post because it switches from blue to orange.
I imagine the average Sabre user is intelligent enough to know which conversations / posts they've exhausted if they switch devices and lose the orange vs blue visual clue from the previous device.
The new tags seem to have a place on a topic based message board but they're out of place on a threaded board in my opinion. The current color scheme is just visual clutter and even a toned down yellow is still an extraneous feature that does more to insult our intelligence than provide a useful feature (see paragraphs 1 and 2).
They really seem like a solution in search of a problem. I'll reiterate my request to ditch them and try to find a way to get many more topics on the page for the mobile version. In a world increasingly dominated by mobile devices, ten to maybe twelve or fifteen topics per page is barely a message board, especially in a threaded format.
Quite honestly, the format this one replaced was nearly perfect on an iPhone. There's nothing in this update that I prefer to the prior version.
