Should be against public policy to pinch hit the pitcher for someone else

There are some issues with the lineup card (writing "P" or "P/DH") that dictate how it's used. We ran into an issue with Koshansky, and I'm not sure the umpires got it right, but JK was listed as "P" and batting 4th. We went to the bullpen and tried to have him hit in his spot, but couldn't because umpire changed lineup- subbed pitcher for pitcher.

Are you saying Haseley as "P" and not in the lineup can pinch hit for "DH" and he can he pinch hit for anyone? Are they treating the starting pitcher as if he were entering the game for the first time?
