The AQs are never going away thanks to the screw up of the committee when

they didn't invite an undefeated Butler. Everyone wants to blame the traditional powers for that, but none had reps on the committee that made the decision. Desko was even quoted as saying he fully expected to play them since Cuse was expected to be the high seed that year closest to Butler.

I was thinking about it waiting for the bus this morning. When you go to the "Who will be the next team?" threads on LP, you run into the universal disdain from the leeches, the former D3 schools that moved up to D1 for CBS bball money, for the idea that another P5 school will start a team. Their absolute nightmare is a Memorial Day weekend of something like UVa (ACC), JHU (B1G), USC-w (PAC-12), and Texas (Big XII), two traditional blueblood powers who have won more than just once or twice and two football giants who recently "joined the party." To them that would be the signal that they'd never get out of the second round pretty much ever again, just like in bball.
