I hope it's not bursitis.

Bursitis is quite painful, whether in the elbow or hip, and there are few remedies that last very long.

When I had it several years ago, it was with me for about 45 days, and most of the doctors I saw couldn't diagnose it. Finally, a resident ortho Dr at Carilion diagnosed it in like 5 minutes.

Rest is the only fix that I know. Bursitis can result from repeated strain or a fall...anything that can damage or inflame the bursa.

Hopefully it's some sort of muscle pain, though, because they usually subside in just a few days..
