Very interesting post. Not living in C'ville I do not get to see the

team play as much as you and others do, but I can see why AR may be the most 'talented' player on the team. Others have accomplished more in college tennis especially TSK, but at 6-2 and with a little more power than our other top players, AR probably has a little more potential for a successful pro career.

I was extremely impressed by CS's play and mobility at the NTI and I thought he played better than anyone else on our team. Granted he was not playing the best opponents, but I really liked the way he played.

The new coach will be inheriting a challenging situation. There is a lot of returning talent next year, but after losing TSK, JCA, LC and maybe AR after this year plus CA, HW, and for sure AR next year, the 2018/2019 team will likely be considerably less talented.

I Doubt anyone can maintain BB's recruiting success over the last decade or so and I firmly believe that in tennis as opposed to some other team sports like FB and BB, the 'coaching them up' factor is not as important in college tennis, because by the time you are 18/19 and have been highly trained/coached as a junior, you know the mechanics of how to hit the ball and how to serve, so few college coaches can improve your tennis playing mechanics.
