Does anyone else here play pickle ball?

I was a 4.5, until about 15 years ago but I turn 71 in December, so I am likely headed down from 4.0 to 3.5 next year.

Pickle ball tends to equalize the power and overall skills of really good tennis players like you. the required under handed serve negates what is critical in tennis. The Kitchen makes crowding the net a little tougher and dinks into the kitchen are a big part of the game when played right. You can still hit the ball hard, but with the nature of the whiffle like pickle ball it only goes so fast.

I started playing it in January as a winter activity and don't play as much now with golf and tennis being my main activities in good weather.

I find it interesting that men and women of all ages can play and still have a fun game. There are few sports like that. In doubles tennis unless everyone is pretty close in ability, it is not much fun.

The biggest difference comparing tennis is that with the smaller court and slower ball, being able to run and cover the court is less important, which is no doubt why seniors predominately play it.

If any of you get a chance please give pickle ball a try.
