The problem is the courses

There's not a lot of fans so there's not much money in hosting, so they don't get PGA Tour quality courses, so they tend to play easy setups that benefit bombers and guys that can zero in on pins.

What's interesting is that there are shorter, straight hitting guys with good short games who have decent success on the PGA Tour, drop down to after a bad season, and don't do well on because they aren't capable of going low like these guys. They do fine when par is a good score, but can't shoot 8 under on easy courses the same way the bombers can.
