Two things in my mind: (1) the return of Gonzalez from the DL (brief) and

the acquisition of Granderson disrupted an established and successful offensive lineup as Roberts began to try to distribute playing time to everyone (10 people for 7 field positions) and "rest" the regulars on a rotating basis which took several of them out of their previous "group roles and flows" including CT, Turner and Bellinger who relieved Puig in RF to let Gonzalez play 1B only to misstep out there and go on the DL himself; and (2) the starting pitching momentum after Kershaw went on the DL carried them for a few games, but then Wood joined him on the DL and the starters have gotten in a hole early for the last 12 games and the offense has been unable to overcome those early deficits and when they did, then the relief pitching faltered.

With Gonzalez back on the DL and Granderson sitting out recently, maybe there will be a resurgence if the starters can regain their form. Need a 3-4 solid starts soon to regain that fragile momentum.
