It's not just TV, streaming technology on all devices has made a big...

difference, especially with younger viewers. Stanford had the vision years ago when they renovated the stadium, reducing it from over 70K to slightly over 50K, and loaded up tech creature features. They have continued to upgrade the fan experience, pushing team/game content to those in the stands. Plus, I'm told Stanford has a team of nerds for football answering questions real-time that come from fans in the stands during games. The next UVA AD should send Todd Goodale, his staff, along with a group of top students from grad school of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Darden to assess best practices for what is needed in football (basketball, baseball, etc.) games going forward to adapt to the changing in-game viewing requirements.
