The whole can't know anything if you did not play in college

is a really bad argument.

There was a season not too long ago when a quarter of the basketball sweet sixteen teams were coached by guys who never played in college.

One legendary high school lacrosse coach who has won a bunch of national championships and may have produced more phenomenal players than anyone else in the high school game never played the game. He produced your man Matt Ward.

A bunch of people on this board find comfort or pride in incoming classes who are ranked highly by a guy who never played.

And, notwithstanding, one should not assume who played and who did not based on posts on a chat board.
