Select the carrier and check out the coverage. A decent interface. What it doesn't show is the capacity of a provider. A cellular provider can have good coverage, but it they don't have the network for all the people wanting to connect, then there is still a problem. In other words, 4 bars still may not get you the throughput. That's were the speed test comes in. I ran the speed test for Sprint 4G and it shows poor performance in a lot of areas of the city, while Verizon looks better overall. You should run it for where you live, work and hang out.
