There is also a scenario that says...

The longer a program "underperforms", the pressure to perform decreases. I thought last year there was a lot of hand wringing and fretting that may have been the result of false hopes that the new guy would fix the situation immediately. Remember, this is a program that has not won a conference game in many years. Is there a player on the team who has won a conference game? Hope Lars can win some this season, but if he doesn't is he really "underperforming" or is he performing at the level that this program has settled at?
