To my eye, Novak is getting quite comfortable at 3B and made a number of really nice plays there this fall and a couple spectacular ones. So if he is the line-up I would not be DHing him even though he is a nice #1,2,9 hitter as you said. I just think his glove is too valuable and I like a number of the 1st/2nd year bats we have to DH instead.
The IF line-up is going to be very interesting to watch this season. As TH noted above Richardson looks great (most improved player in the fall IMO - he was all over the place both hitting and fielding) and I really like Ortiz (I am a little surprised at TH's impression of him). He looks like a 3 year starter to me. Weber also looks improved (bigger and stronger). Plus Papatonis has not even played yet and was our highest ranked recruit (I believe). Morris also looks the part at 3rd base.
Hopefully we can keep all of these guys around and playing.
